Close your eyes for a moment. Imagine you are in paradise.
What does it look like?
Are you sitting on a rock by a stream in a beautiful mountain landscape? Do you feel the sand between your toes on a pristine white beach and an azure blue sea? Or maybe you’re holding a large mug of steaming latte with oat milk in your favorite coffee shop around the corner.
We all have a different version of paradise.
But what we share is the feeling it gives us. A deep relaxation. Finally home. That moment when everything feels right and in harmony.
Paradise might be more about the feeling we have than it being an actual place. Still, places can help us connect to that feeling. Like the example of the coffee shop around the corner. Or maybe for you, it’s the park where you often walk and let go of all your thoughts.
At this moment, I am in my paradise. You might know (if you’ve been following me for a while), we have a piece of land in Portugal. As often as we can, we go there to live off-grid for a while. That sounds more romantic than it actually is. No electricity, no running water, no toilet, and probably the toughest thing of all for the modern person: no wifi.
Yet, this is paradise for me. In this paradise there is a deep connection with Mother Earth. She sets the rhythm, what is possible and when. The water from the mountain is a precious gift, which we use gratefully.
And it has a powerful connection with the stars. Every night they shine so brightly, I feel it in my bones. The star chart in my body is constantly activated and recharged.
